Why Funk/Dance? I love dance because I’ve always used it as an outlet for whatever is going on in my life. I also love being able to perform and show audiences what I’m passionate about and dance alongside some really cool people. I’m so excited to get to dance with Funk this year! Everyone has been so kind so far and it’s going to be so fun to grow as a team!

3 fun facts: I kicked shuttlecock 1400+ times nonstop at a competition; I am a magic cube fan; I don't like salad, pizza, or burger, and I survived college.
Why Funk/Dance? I have been dancing since five (was a Chinese traditional dancer before college) and I really enjoyed performing on stage. And it's a good way to destress. Also, I've met so many wonderful people through dancing who really inspired me and helped me grow. I'm grateful to be part of the fam. I really appreciate this opportunity to dance what I like (hip-hop) and also explore a style that's new to me (contemp). Super excited for the shows and can't wait to know all the Funkers! <3

Why Funk/Dance? I love dance because it is such a unique outlet that allows me to relieve my stress and just have fun. I love the community that dance has provided me with for the past 7 years, and I know that Funk will do the same in college. I love performing on stage and I love being able to express such a variety of emotions and tell such different stories through different styles of dance. I am so excited to be a part of Funk and can't wait for the next 4 years!

3 fun facts: I never had Wendy's, you can easily bribe me with food, I like cooking
Why Funk/Dance? Dance to me is actually a cool and fun way of exercising and just being myself. I actually started out breaking during middle school, then focused on contemporary during high school, and am now more invested in hiphop. I've always wanted to join a dance crew after high school especially after watching many videos from VIBE, Ultimate Brawl, and Bridge. The people in Strictly Funk are also really open and energetic which I like because it's really hard for me to talk to new people... LOL.

3 fun facts: 1. I asked a boy to my senior prom by dancing for him and it went viral (sorta) on instagram. (because I was sick of the patriarchy and didn’t want to wait for a guy to ask me instead) 2. I like to do headstands before I sleep and I attempt to meditate while doing them (because my sister says meditating is good for your mental health idk) 3. I am currently trying to memorize Li Bai (famous Chinese poet) poems mainly because it’s funny because I’m so bad at it, but also because I’m trying to get in touch with my culture LOL
Why Funk/Dance? I love Funk/dance because it helps me relieve my stress and forget about daily problems! The only thing that goes through my head when I’m dancing is the choreography and its emotion, so it’s a nice break away from school, work, etc. I also love how dancing allows me to be a completely different person if I want to! The community and people that come with being part of a group like Funk is also what makes dance so amazing. There’s a special type of bond that comes from dancing with a group of people, so I’m really excited for that.

3 fun facts: I can fold my tongue into a clover shape, I can't whistle, I've met Taylor Swift
Why Funk/Dance? I love dance because it gives me the opportunity to express myself and be whoever I want to be. The people that I dance with have always been the group that I feel most myself around, and I'm sure Funk will continue to prove that. Dance is unique in that you can portray so many different emotions and stories and I love that I get to tell new stories and be a part of a whole new experience with Funk. The people have already been so welcoming and incredible, I am so honored that I get to be a part of such an amazing team and I am so excited for what's to come!!

3 fun facts: I LOVE spin classes and group exercise classes in general, I go to one everyday. I also LOVE country music (sorry not sorry). Hannah Montana is my favorite tv show, and I've watched it in its entirety 7 times.
Why Funk/Dance? I love dance because I love being on stage and performing. I also have a lot of energy, and I think dance is a great way to channel that. And I LOVE funk because it's a space where I feel I can really be myself, be creative, and take risks.

3 fun facts: Did cheerleading for 11 years, likes to cosplay, bartends on occasion
Why Funk/Dance? I was always super shy when I was younger, so much so that I would avoid putting myself out there in fear of people making fun of me. Dancing and performing are the reasons why I was able to come out of my shell and figure out who I really am. I feel dancing brings out the best in me and motivates me to become the person I want to be on stage and off.
